After spending a full week in Sibaltan, we’re finally heading out for an afternoon of diving with Dive Sibaltan! We’ve been eager to get back underwater, especially after Dave was sick for a while, and today’s the day.
The adventure starts with a quick lunch at our favorite beachside restaurant before making our way to the dive shop. Once we’re geared up, we hop on our dive boat and head out into the open water. Our first stop? A stunning reef dive called Wild Wild East, where we’re surrounded by an insane amount of marine life, including spotted rays and countless colorful fish. The visibility is absolutely incredible—probably the best we’ve ever had!
For the second dive, we visit the the Manta Cleaning Station, hoping to catch a glimpse of some majestic manta rays. Unfortunately, luck isn’t on our side this time, but we still get to see turtles, cuttlefish, jawfish, flounders, and more. Even without the mantas, the dive is absolutely worth it.
Between dives, the waves start to take a toll, and Dave battles a bit of seasickness. But once we’re back in the water, it’s all good again! After wrapping up the dives, we return to shore, clean up, and head out in search of a well-deserved iced coffee to end the day.
